Tractus GPS Datalogger
Wireless GPS DataLogger and Asset Tracking System

IRMA | Tractus GPS Datalogger | TSS | MSP430 Tools | Sensory

Overview

The Tractus Datalogger is a rugged GPS data logger with the unique feature of wireless download capability. One of the mayor draw backs of other dataloggers in the market is the need to extract the information from the vehicles using cables connected to a computer or hand-held terminal; this is both time consuming and becomes a maintenance burden as your fleet grows.

Using the Tractus Datalogger and a low cost radio base installation, the download of the information can be accomplished when the vehicles are in your yard resting or between service calls. The download process is fully automated using the Tractus Manager software, running on a PC. Tractus Manager is also a route analysis tool and can generate a number of reports for fleet control, tracking and maintenance.

Radio communication between your base station and your vehicle is accomplished using a no-license FCC registered spread spectrum transceiver operating in the ISM band. Once a vehicle is detected by the base station, the download procedure begins.

The logged GPS data can contain Position, Velocity, Altitude and the logical events detected by the five inputs of the Tractus Datalogger; these logical inputs can be associated with user defined events. Up to 100,000 points and events can be logged and special filters can be programmed if you need to optimize the information and download times.
